Kenny Wong

A couple from a recent shoot with Kenny Wong in my local Oxford studio. More to come, apparently. Until then...

Carl Grim

Just wanted to share some photos from a recent photoshoot with Carl Grim. He is such an energetic, positive person - great fun to work with.

The last image reminds me of something I found out at hospital recently after an MRI scan (the doctor mentioned it only in passing); apparently I have an extra vertebra at the bottom of my spine. Kinda cool I thought!

Beep beep!

I totally forgot to upload images from one of the sets I did with Stefano Brunesci (see two posts down). How could I forget? Without this little car, there would be very little modelling. Trains and planes are great, and much more conducive to writing and gazing, but you can't beat a bit of car action when you're carrying all your worldly wardrobe. Then again, without my sat nav, I would probably still be somewhere out in the countryside circling roundabouts and crossing fields. The conversations I have with the stern little voice on my dashboard... 'WHEN POSSIBLE, MAKE A U TURN'... 'Er, no, definitely not. Please re-calculate?'. 'RE-CALCULATING. WHEN POSSIBLE, MAKE A U-TURN'... 'Please?'...'IN POINT EIGHT MILES, TURN LEFT'...'IN POINT SIX MILES, TURN LEFT'... 'IN POINT FOUR MILES...' You get the drift. She's very patient with me, and I find her stern-ness (which seems to increase in direct proportion to my concern that we've gone wrong) reassuringly authoritative. I have even been known to thank her at the end of particularly long journeys. :-)

....So, here I am in my brum brum (if you have an aversion to steering wheel covers, and have never felt the luxury of warm hands on a cold day for reasons of vanity, please look away now).

Chris Harrison

I've very kindly been sent a couple of images from Chris Harrison, an artist in Abingdon I model for now and then. I love the dark background in the first one (looks like I'm floating in space) and the blue against orange in the second sketch is really cool. Thanks Chris - I look forward to next time! :-)

Bath Time

These images, from a little trip to Bath on the way back from a shoot in the Forest of Dean, are long overdue an appearance here.

Photography: Stefano Brunesci
Make up and poseur: Moi

I think there will be more shoots in the future... Apparently Stefano would shoot with me 'every day of the week' if I wanted (he'll wish he'd never said that now...). Seriously though, I love shooting with Stefano. We have very different strengths/styles (which makes for a good swap), and I always feel like I've learnt something by the end. Although I couldn't be a 'proper' fashion model in such a competitive industry (and to be honest I probably wouldn't want to be, since the shallow superficiality of that world would terrify me, even though it would be tres glamourous I'm sure...), I love posing in more fashion-y styles now and then.

We also did some natural light stuff outdoors.

Seems appropriate to include a couple from our first shoot, last March (I may as well make this the longest post ever..!):

Thanks Stefano! :-)
